Flow Posing Guides for Newborn Photographers
A simple but invaluable tool for guiding you through every newborn session. Instead of thinking about what to do next, you can focus entirely on the baby, on the parents, and on building a varied gallery of beautiful images.
I use these guides in every single session I shoot at Mabel & Møøse. Not because I do not know what I am doing, but because having a clear sequence in front of me means my mind stays where it should be.
There are two guides, each designed around how a session typically begins.
The Awake Guide starts with an alert, wide-eyed baby and works through a natural sequence from there. The Sleeping Guide begins with a settled baby and flows accordingly. Both guides include poses for awake and sleeping babies because every session shifts, but the order is built around that opening so the session flows from the very first frame.
Each guide contains around 80 ideas for poses, angles and details. They are kept deliberately simple, a photograph, a lighting note, a camera angle. Nothing complicated. Everything you need at a glance.
They come as a downloadable PDF, designed to be printed and kept close during a session.
Use them to learn. Use them as a reference during your session. Use them as inspiration when you want to push your gallery further.
Choose the guide that suits how your sessions usually begin, or start with both.
